What is Linguacade?
We often see learning English as a means to an end. Whether it’s passing an exam or getting a job, we can become so fixated on the outcome that we treat the information as disposable and stop loving the process. Our obsession with a result can make the learning itself an absolute chore.
Linguacade has been created as a counterpoint to this obsession with achieving a goal. If you are looking for a fast track to fluency, you won’t find it here. This is a podcast for people who want to take time to enjoy the journey without thinking too much about the destination.
Linguacade Deep Dive
I mostly listen to podcasts when I want to be away from a screen. However, I also want to remember and use words, phrases and grammar from the episodes. Usually, I don’t have the time to pause the podcast and research how to use this new content.

Meet your teacher
As a professional linguist with over thirty years of experience as a translator, interpreter and language teacher, I am passionate about the process of learning. I understand how difficult it is to maintain a good level in several languages, but my motivation to learn is strongest when I know that I am listening to a real person who creates and delivers only their own genuine content.
Although it has become increasingly difficult to know what is real and what is artificial, you can have absolute peace of mind that every episode has been created by me. Podcasts in other languages have been key to helping me keep my other languages active, so I hope very much that you will benefit from Linguacade as I have benefitted from the altruism of others.
